Seven Minutes

On the sea bed,
the duvet laps like a tide
at my feet. My head sinks
into a reef of pillows.

Sleep washes over me;
it fills my lungs as I breathe

in an ocean of inky black,
where shoals of coloured dreams
shimmer across my face.
